A MESSAGE FROM Cathy, one of The Belles of Avondale House.

Autism has been my passion for over 40 years and working within an organization that focuses on the needs of individuals with autism has been my lifelong dream.

Avondale House is a non-profit organization in Houston, TX., that provides individuals with autism the resources, education, and training to develop to their fullest potential. I work in the private day school, which serves children 3-21 years old; currently, I teach children ages 8-12

Although severely affected by autism, my students are funny, loving, artistic, animal lovers, gardeners, caring children. I strive to give them opportunities and experiences that go beyond their autism.
