A MESSAGE FROM Power Moves: Payal's Birthday Fundraiser
For more than a decade, Dress for Success has been close to my heart.
Long before I joined the Chicago Board of Directors, I was a volunteer. Over the years, I've served as a stylist, career coach, and donation sorter, helping women prepare for interviews, strengthen their resumes, and pursue new opportunities.
Through those experiences, I've learned that Dress for Success is about so much more than clothes.
As someone who loves fashion, I know the confidence a great outfit can unlock. But the true magic of this organization happens when women begin to see themselves differently—when they recognize their strengths, believe in their potential, and feel empowered to pursue the futures they deserve.
One of my favorite moments happened during a recent volunteer shift when a client stepped into a bold, bright dress and danced her way to the mirror because she felt so good about herself. Watching her joy reminded me why I continue to support this mission year after year.
In fact, volunteering with Dress for Success has become one of my favorite birthday traditions because I've always believed that one of the best ways to celebrate another year of life is by investing in someone else's.
This year, I'm raising funds through the Power Moves Walk to help provide women with the coaching, resources, professional attire, and support they need to achieve economic independence and professional success.
Thank you for helping more women step into their confidence, embrace their potential, and make bold moves toward brighter futures.
