A MESSAGE FROM Andrea's 2023 NYC Marathon Fundraising Page
I am the granddaughter of two Holocaust survivors, and my husband is the grandson of two Holocaust survivors. We heard first hand accounts about the atrocities of the Holocaust and of the stories of courage, bravery, and generosity that helped our grandparents survive. I feel fortunate to be a part of what Isabella, Ann, Mark and their families are building with the Mark Schonwetter Holocaust Education Foundation (MSHEF). On November 5th, I will be running my second NYC Marathon, but this time it means so much more. I am running to honor my Grandma Mimi and Poppy, and Oma and Opa, and to get one step closer to MSHEF's goal of providing Holocaust education to school age children nationwide. Mark reminds me so much of my grandparents, particularly as it relates to his goal of promoting kindness and respect by sharing his story. Thank you so much for your support!
