Honored to announce
that I will be running the TCS New York City Marathon on November 3rd 2024
for The New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.
When the opportunity
arose to run NYC and fundraise for the heroes that protect it, there wasn’t a
second of hesitation in my mind, especially with what is going on in our
country today.
“When these brave
men and women make the ultimate sacrifice to protect our city, we believe it is our civic
duty to support the families these heroes have left behind.”
How "Answer the Call" organization helps:
Financial Assistance
Immediately after
the loss of a first responder, they provide each family with $50,000 to help
alleviate some of the uncertainty such a tragedy can bring. That family
then becomes part of the larger Benefit Fund family, and each widow or widower
will receive an annual stipend for the remainder of his or her life.
A Network of Support
Additionally, The
New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund helps provide
a network of support and special events for the families. Families are invited
to various social gatherings throughout the year and are connected with other
families who have been through similar experiences. They make a commitment to
the families of fallen heroes that they will never be forgotten, and neither will
the sacrifice their loved ones have made.

Police, and EMS Personnel who have been killed in the line of duty.
