About Me: As a four-time marathoner and Northwestern student, I have always had my eyes on the Chicago Marathon. This will be my first world major, and since running my first marathon in Pittsburgh, I have fallen in love with the feeling of crossing that finish line with a massive number of people. I am hoping to feel that feeling in Chicago this Fall! I have also known that fundraising for this marathon was always a path I wanted to take. My involvement in Jewish life at Northwestern, both through serving on the Hillel Executive Board and as co-president of Kadima, Northwestern's Jewish Social Justice organization, has helped me realize the importance of events like the Chicago Marathon in helping organizations achieve their goals. My journey with Sharsheret actually began long before this race. During my first year at Northwestern, a friend organized an event to "paint the rock" with Sharsheret to raise awareness for their organization and cause. Since camping out with her, I have been energized by their mission, and to do it through a Jewish lens only makes it more powerful for me.
As you consider donating, please remember, no amount is too small. Every contribution goes a long way in helping me run in the fall, and more importantly, in helping Sharsheret reach their short-term and long-term goals.
