My first job out of college was for 7 years at what is now known as the Naval Surface Warfare Center. I also love fitness challenges and helping people. These three tenets of my life have converged. I would be very grateful if you would help me support the families of Navy Seals by sponsoring me to swim a 5k. It is the Annapolis Frogman swim in the cold and mercurial waters of the Chesapeake Bay near the Naval Academy. I’ll match everything my friends donate up to $2,500. 100% of the net proceeds from the Annapolis Frogman Swim will be donated to the Navy SEAL Foundation (www.navysealfoundation.org), which has earned the coveted four stars and 100% rating from Charity Navigator. The organization's mission is to provide immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families by: - Providing immediate and ongoing tragedy assistance for families who have lost a loved one in training or combat. - Supporting family events to boost morale and encourage camaraderie. - Awarding scholarships and providing educational assistance to families of the Naval Special Warfare Community - Preserving the rich history and heritage of the Naval Special Warfare community.
