A MESSAGE FROM Run, Char-Char, Run For Molly DeWitt!

Hi, I’m Charlotte Garrett, known to my niece, Molly DeWitt, as “Aunt Char-Char.” On July 4, 2025, Molly’s life was tragically cut short in the flood at Camp Mystic, along with twenty-six other extraordinary girls who are now remembered as Heaven’s 27.

This January, I will run the Houston Half Marathon in Molly’s honor, and in honor of all 27 girls. Every mile is a way to carry their love, their laughter, and their light forward. Each of these girls was deeply loving, incredibly generous, and gifted with an empathy well beyond her years. They welcomed others with open hearts and showed us how to live with kindness, courage, and joy.

By supporting this run, you are donating to the Heaven's 27 Fund, which helps ensure that their legacy endures—a legacy of compassion and hope that continues to make the world better.
