A MESSAGE FROM Tim's Fundraising Page
I am running my first marathon on behalf of Gilda's Club Westchester, which provides free support, education, and social programs for anyone living in New York or Connecticut and affected by any type of cancer. I was introduced to this impactful non-profit by my neighbor Jen Scully, and learned of their fundraising efforts related to the NYC Marathon earlier this year.
I would like to be clear: I am not an avid runner. That's what my wife does. I have done a half marathon, but the concept of finishing that, turning around, and doing it again seemed like insanity to me. However, my wife Shannon is vying for her 6th world major marathon. She and others have helped raise millions of dollars for various charities along the way. Completing an insane task is worthwhile if for a wonderful cause! Unfortunately, I think everyone knows someone, friend or family, that has been by affected by cancer. Please consider helping me support Gilda's Club Westchester by donating to their important work. I and 50,000 others will do the crazy part on November 5th.
