A MESSAGE FROM Glen

Glen Doherty



On November 5th, I will be running my 6th New York Marathon, with the last one being in 2003.  I am honored and excited to be running for the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation (GDMF).  The foundation was named after Glen, a Navy Seal, who lost his life in an effort to help save others on 9/11/2012 in Benghazi.  Although I never had the privilege of meeting Glen, from the stories I have heard, his book I read and watching 13 Hours, Glen was an Absolute Stud!  


In 2022, Glen was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.  To this day, Glen continues to positively impact so many people. The GDMF helps Special Operations professionals transition from military to civilian careers by providing scholarships for education and training. 


Training for and running this marathon will not be easy.  What makes it easier is knowing that I will be helping those who have given so much for us!  Thank You for your consideration.
