A MESSAGE FROM Gloria Runs a Marathon!
Hello, my name is Gloria Cheng, and NYC will be my fourth marathon race.  I was born in Queens just one year after these two organizations were established and can’t wait to return and celebrate their 51st anniversaries.  I now live in northern CA and feel blessed to be so close to regional parks where I can run trails surrounded by beautiful scenery.

I'm so proud to be running on GrowNYC's 2021 NYC Marathon Team! For over 50 years, GrowNYC has protected the environment, created beautiful green spaces, helped people stay healthy, and given them opportunities to make a positive impact. I believe sustainability and protecting the environment for our future generations is a shared human purpose that crosses racial, cultural and socioeconomic boundaries.  If NYC can show the world it can achieve zero waste, then any city can reach this goal.  Please join me in supporting their work, and help me reach my goal! Let’s do this!!!!
