Welcome! I’m so excited to be a part of the 2026 Girls on the Run Chicago Marathon Team. This event hits home for me on many levels. I grew up playing sports in a household with boys, including ice hockey, field hockey, softball, lacrosse, and golf. I am forever indebted to the confidence and strength that being an athlete gave me as a young girl, and now a young woman. I know how hurtful it can be when your abilities are doubted based on gender. Before working in healthcare, I had the pleasure of serving as a group counselor at Girls Incorporated, another nonprofit with a similar mission. Girls on the Run is a nonprofit with a curriculum that includes after-school programs, summer camps, and 5K events. I have found running to be a mental steadfast during difficult times. This work is a labor of love, and it matters. That is why I am running for Girls on the Run Chicago, because I believe that every girl deserves to build that confidence and strength!
