This year, I’m running the Chicago Marathon in support of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization that provides children in foster care with a dedicated advocate to navigate an often chaotic system. CASA volunteers work to make sure these kids don’t get lost in the system and have a stable, supportive presence in their lives.
This cause is deeply personal to me. Working with children in legal proceedings this past summer showed me just how critical it is for children to have someone fighting for them—someone who listens, speaks up, and makes sure they aren’t overlooked. A strong, consistent advocate can make such an impactful difference in a child’s future.
