Hi all! My name is Jack Shaw, and I'm proud to be lacing up for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon to support SNACK*, a charity that supports children, teens and young adults with autism and other special needs!
SNACK* has been a critical lifeline for countless families, including my very own. For the past two decades, SNACK* has been a second home for my younger brother Andy—who is autistic—offering him not just classes and activities but also essential part-time living arrangements as he has transitioned into young adulthood.
Having witnessed SNACK*'s incredible impact over the years, I've dedicated myself to their cause more recently by joining the Board of Directors. And now, as a seasoned road runner, I'm thrilled to combine my passion for running with my commitment to SNACK* by participating in the NYC Marathon.
As I hit the NYC pavement on the morning of November 3, I'll be raising vital funds to ensure that SNACK* can continue its mission of providing diverse classes and activities designed to meet the unique needs of every individual. Together, let's make a difference in the lives of those who rely on SNACK* for support, inclusion, and opportunity. Join me as I run for a cause that truly matters.
