A MESSAGE FROM James McCool - 2022 NYC Marathon - Answer the Call
Everyday, the men and women of the NYPD and FDNY risk their lives to protect and serve. The risk far outweighs the reward, as the heroic efforts of NY's Finest and NY's Bravest often go unnoticed and sadly, sometimes unappreciated. In some cases, these brave men and women make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, leaving behind grieving families and friends.
After crossing the finish line in 2016, I turned to my Dad - a former NYPD officer who spent 20+ years on the job - and told him "never again." But there's always an exception to the rule.
When the opportunity arose to run on Team Answer the Call to help raise money for the families of those killed in the line of duty, never again became "one more time." It's truly an honor and privilege to run on behalf of these families. The strength and resilience of these families is inspiring and I appreciate any donation - big or small - to go towards helping these heroes.
Again, I appreciate the support and hope to see you all on the streets of the city in November.
