I’m thrilled to be running the Chicago Marathon as part of Team CASA, supporting CASA of Cook County’s mission to advocate for children in foster care. Every child deserves a voice and a chance at a brighter future, and by running this race, I hope to raise awareness and critical funds to ensure more children have dedicated advocates looking out for their well-being. Running has always been a way for me to challenge myself, and as a local Chicagoan, this marathon is not only a personal test but also a challenge for everyone to pay attention to this organization and support the children in our county who need us most. Through this race and in the leadup to it, I look forward to shining a light on CASA’s programs and the life-changing impact they have, ensuring more people recognize the importance of advocacy and being involved, no matter to what extent. Through the race, my personal mantra will be “just one more step”; and this is a perfect analogy to how small actions build up to meaningful change. Happy to be a part of Team CASA!
