A MESSAGE FROM 26.2 mi for the NY Chinese Athletic Club!
This fall, I will be running 26.2 miles in the NYC marathon to help fundraise for the NY Chinese Athletic Club. If you had told me two years ago I thought I could run a marathon, I would have laughed in disbelief. In fact, I had never even run over a mile up till two years ago, much less 26 miles. In August 2021, I successfully ran a 5K for the first time in my life, and I was immediately hooked on the activity. Since that fateful day, I have run over 1000 miles and can no longer imagine life without my morning runs.
I am excited to tackle my first marathon this fall while also fundraising for a cause close to my heart. The NY Chinese Athletic Club offers free athletic programming to youth in Chinatown with a mission to be a positive place for Chinese youth to learn about their heritage while also becoming healthier and stronger individuals. Any type of support is so, so appreciated. See you at the finish line :)
