Hello, my name is Jenn Ducharme, and I am the Director of Events at Mohegan Sun Pocono. I am honored and humbled to represent my company, and to run with the RR12 team! I first met the Ryan's Run team during the RR9 Kick-off at Party on the Patio, and immediately fell in love with their dedication and passion. If you had told me that I would be on the team three years later, I would have never believed it. Running is a difficult feat for me, and not something that comes easily or quickly. However, I was inspired when I ran my first race, the RR10 All-Abilities 5k. I was pretty much terrified, but what I realized was that even though I did not love to run, and was not good at it, I was ABLE to run, and that was a privilege that I could not take for granted. Seeing all of the great work of Allied Services, and so many people determined to make progress in their recovery that day made me emotional and wanting to do more. So, I am setting out to conquer my first marathon. I can think of no better way to challenge myself while honoring and supporting this cause, and the wonderful people who benefit from it. Please make a donation if you can, or volunteer for one of the many fundraising events. I promise, it will be well worth it to those lives you are helping to improve.
A $30 donation gets you an official RR12 tee. For a $50 donation, I will carry your name with me and dedicate one of the 26 miles to you. For $100, you get your own bridge dedication. Also, send me your favorite song to help push me along, or come walk or run a mile with me as I train!
Thank you for supporting WNEP's Ryan's Run! You can show your team spirit! For every $30 donation, you are eligible to receive an official, moisture-wicking Ryan's Run 12 shirt! We invite you to join us in changing the lives of children and adults with disabilities, life-changing injuries, and chronic illness in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. Your donation will support the work of Allied Services, a non-profit health system: making miracles in rehab, helping people regain health and independence after an injury, improving the quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s or recovering from a stroke, empowering children to overcome a learning disability and much more.
