A MESSAGE FROM Jennifer's Fundraising Page
2020 was undoubtedly a hard year for all of us. Losing four close friends both near and across the world to suicide opened my eyes to just how important it is to show support for those struggling. I have become passionate about raising awareness for suicide and trying to erase the negative connotations attached to it. It has quickly become a cause near and dear to my heart. No one should ever feel like they are walking alone in life. Things do get better and sometimes we all need an extra hand and time to see that through. And I am hoping more people get to experience all that is out there for them and their futures.
I am honored to be running for Samaritans of New York City. They are a 24 hour, confidential service for those struggling or for those that have been affected by loss due to suicide. It is time to erase the stigma and be there for others. I wish I knew of organizations like this sooner, and I am hoping that this becomes a resource for everyone to keep at their disposal.
I hope you please consider supporting my fundraising efforts for the TCS New York City Marathon in support of the NYC division of Samaritans. No donation is too small. Please click on the donate button or share my link! Thank you in advance for all the support and love, it means more to me than any words could ever express. I want to personally thank so many close friends, family, strangers, co-workers, that have all helped me through the grieving process. You all have made me see exactly that it all truly does get better. If you donate with a person in mind, please let me know. I will write their name on my bib and run in the memory!
