A MESSAGE FROM Jordan's Fundraising Page
I am proud to be running in my first NYC marathon in support of the Sunrise Association, whose mission is to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings worldwide. Sunrise accomplishes this through the creation and oversight of welcoming, inclusive summer day camps, year-round programs, and in-hospital recreational activities, all offered free of charge.
When I was introduced to Sunrise, their mission to give childhood back to children with cancer immediately resonated with me. At Sunrise, fun is mandatory, inclusion and diversity are embraced, and hope and healing are the outcomes. Sunrise provides children with cancer the chance to experience the true meaning of childhood—having fun, playing, and laughing together.
As a long-time camp person myself, I can deeply relate to what Sunrise offers these children. Camp is your home away from home, your summer family, and an experience that every child should get to enjoy. Sunrise gives children with cancer and their siblings magical summer experiences just like Camp Wah-Nee gave me for so many years.
I have set two ambitious goals to achieve by November 3rd, and I need your support to reach them. My first goal is to raise $4,000 for Sunrise, and my second goal is to run 26.2 miles. While I am committed to conquering the marathon, I need your help to reach my fundraising target.
Thank you for considering a donation. Every dollar makes a difference. Together, let's give children with cancer an unforgettable summer at Sunrise.
