A MESSAGE FROM Julie's SUDC Fundraising Page

Hello Everyone! My name is Julie O'Meara. I am originally from New Smyrna Beach, FL and now live in Manhattan, NY. I will be running for the SUDC Charity at the 2021 New York City Marathon!

SUDC, or Sudden Unexplained Death in Children, affects hundreds of kids each year and these deaths go unexplained, even after a thorough investigation and autopsy. I learned what SUDC was recently after a dear family friend lost a nephew due to SUDC. The SUDC foundation helped their family and has helped many families navigate one of the worst situations a family could possibly go through. In addition to providing support to families affected by SUDC, the foundation also supports research initiatives to understand risk factors for SUDC in an effort to develop preventative strategies.
