A MESSAGE FROM Justin
This past September, my Mom suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. She then went on to try and defy all odds by recovering from this life-threatening event. For the next 5-6 months she inspired everyone that knew her as she tried to pull off this miracle. From re-learning basic movements, to eating, kicking and yes, even walking - my Mom went through the entire recovery with a smile on her face, and her family by her side. Although she ended up passing away on March 18, 2021, my Mom's uplifting spirit, ability to bring people together and, of course, her #familyfirst mantra will live on with everyone she touched.
1 in 50 people has an unruptured aneurysm. That equals 6.5 million people in the United States. 30,000 people in the U.S. suffer a rupture each year and half of those do not survive. Help me as I strive to change those statistics by helping the BAF continue their mission to spread awareness and save lives. Brain aneurysms are beatable and treatable if detected early. Awareness can save lives!
