Hi, I’m Justine — a runner, domestic violence survivor, financial educator for survivors, and author of "Girl, Jump!"
This year, I was selected to run the 2026 Tokyo Marathon — my very first Abbott World Marathon Major! It’s been on my vision board for years to complete all 7 World Majors, and Tokyo is the start of that dream.
But what makes this marathon even more meaningful is that I’m running it to raise $4,850 for NO MORE — an incredible nonprofit that supports domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.
As a survivor myself, this mission is deeply personal. I know firsthand how hard it is to break free and rebuild. That’s why this race is so much more than just 26.2 miles — it’s a symbol of everything I’ve fought for and everything I believe in.
I started running in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, as a way to take care of my mental health. Gyms were closed, so I laced up and hit the pavement — and I haven’t stopped since. I’ve now completed 3 marathons and 5 half marathons, and running has completely changed my life. It’s helped me become mentally and physically stronger. It’s helped me heal.
This isn’t the first time I’ve raised money while running — I’ve previously fundraised for Women’s Aid and the Survivor Justice Center. Combining my love of running with my passion for supporting survivors has become part of who I am.
If you choose to donate, please know that you’re not just helping me get to the starting line — you’re helping someone else get a second chance at life. You’re helping survivors access resources, find their voice, and take back their power.
Together, we can do something bigger than a marathon. We can create real impact — one step, one dollar, and one survivor at a time.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me 💜
