Hello, my name is Kathleen, and I am one of those 7.4 million women.
My infertility journey has been a painful and lonely one filled with uncertainty, heartbreak, and longing. But in the midst of all the struggles, RESOLVE has been a beacon of hope. Since 2019, RESOLVE has been by my side, providing me with educational resources, insurance and financing information, and so much more. As my husband and I have tried to conceive, RESOLVE has become a lifeline for us. But last year, after our second failed IUI, I felt broken and alone. Again, I reached out to RESOLVE.
And once again, RESOLVE showed up for me. They connected me with a support group of people who understood what I was going through. Meeting with like-minded individuals who were on the same journey as I am empowered me in a way I never expected. I felt seen, heard, and understood. I realized that I wasn't alone in my struggles, and that gave me the strength to keep going.
As we mark four years of trying to conceive, I don't know what the next step will be for us. But one thing is certain – I can always count on RESOLVE to be there, advocating for me and millions of others like me who are trying to build their families.
That's why I am so grateful to RESOLVE, and I want to show my gratitude by running the NYC marathon. I want to raise money so that they can continue their mission, raise awareness, and help others feel more empowered. This journey is tough, but I am determined to make a difference and help others who are going through a similar experience see that they are not alone.
