On February 29, 2020, I will join the Miami Dolphins, an American football team, and thousands of South Florida residents to tackle cancer here in our community.
I ride for many reasons. Now I have 16 very good reasons and very personal reasons. Two more than last year and one more than just a few weeks ago. I hope we can save her. Why do I do this for those that can't?
Because I still can.
How can I ask my friends and family to donate if I do not? I can't. I won't.
I have donated the first $35.00...all I am asking is that if each and every one of my friends and family give just $10 I will far surpass my goal of $2,750.00 or 2.500 Euros.
CANCER!! It knows no boundaries, no race, no gender or no age limitations. It is the Universal Reaper...and we all have been touched by cancer. I will ride 35 miles in 2020 - maybe you could pledge just $1.00 per mile or 32 Euros for 56.7kms?? Cancer is international.
2020 will mark the third year I participate in this epic event. It doesn't get any easier - unfortunately, my artificial left knee isn't as user-friendly as its sibling on the right...but ride we will and finish we will. Please ride with me.
What is wonderful about this event is that since 2010, the Dolphins Cancer Challenge has raised over $32 million with 100% of participant-raised funds going directly to cancer research at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Whether you ride, run, walk, volunteer or donate, we are all fighting cancer. I need your support to help me reach my goal and I thank you for supporting me in my fundraising efforts as I #TACKLECANCER!
