A MESSAGE FROM Kenny's Fundraising Page – NYC Marathon + Community Roots Charter School
I’ve decided to run the 2023 New York Marathon with Community Roots Charter School’s charity team! As you may know, Camille is a middle school teacher at Community Roots, and I'm running to help support of their mission. In doing so, I also get to take part in one of the coolest experiences the city has to offer: doing my best to survive 26.2 miles while the entire city cheers people on.
Community Roots Charter School is a progressive kindergarten through 8th grade charter school in downtown Brooklyn. CRCS embeds education in meaningful real-world contexts, deliberately teaching all students to see connections between the school and the world. Your giving enables Community Roots Charter School to offer free after-school programming four times per week for over 200 students with activities like academic support and enrichment, dance, drama, writing, chess, athletics, martial arts, gardening, and more.
