The mission of the Denise D’Ascenzo Foundation is to support advances in medicine and health, those facing physical and mental challenges, and responsibility in media while encouraging openness, courage and kindness in all endeavors. 

While I never had the privilege of meeting Denise, I've felt a connection because of my life-long friendship with Dennis House, who was Denise's close friend and co-anchor for 25 years.  I attended the memorial service for Denise and was very fortunate to meet some of her teammates at WFSB – each of them spoke candidly of her grace and kindness.
