A MESSAGE FROM Forst Family Donation Page
The Eagles Autism Challenge is coming up on 5/19. Unfortunately due to scheduling we won't be able to walk in person but have registered as virtual donors.
As many of you know our son, Logan, was diagnosed with ASD in February 2016. He has made tremendous strides in the last two years with his hard work and the assistance of our AMAZING birth to 3 therapists, Intermediate Unit therapists, wraparound support, preschool teachers, CHOP doctors and with the support of our family and friends. The future which once shown as a huge question mark is showing brighter than ever. He continues to learn, grow and speak and we could not be more thankful & proud. His mind is truly amazing!
When I first read about the Eagles Autism Challenge I knew our family needed to be apart of it (The first word Logan ever spelled was E-a-g-l-e-s -- Eagles to his daddy's excitement). We have been so fortunate to be able to have access to therapies, doctors and teachers who support our son and family. We want to support this cause so others out there who cannot afford or do not have access to these crucial interventions will one day be able to. We also hope this continues to bring the much needed awareness, research and acceptance that our kiddos need...it truly is a spectrum...every case and every journey is completely different.
I have researched many Autism charities and can honestly write that I am beyond proud to support this challenge and the Philadelphia Eagles organization. 🦅 We're passionate about this cause and hope you will take a look at the site, do some research of your own and donate to this (under our fundraising page) or another cause that can help a child.
100% of the proceeds will be donated to the following beneficiaries and my heart is overflowing with gratitude that I live (in the suburbs) of a city with such heart (even though we have a bad rep😁).
Beneficiaries:
- Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania - Autism Integrated Care Program & Center for Autism Research.
- Jefferson Health - Autism and Sensory Integration Lab
- Drexel University - A.J. Drexel Autism Institute
Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully research this disorder which the CDC now documents effects 1 in 59 children.
Sending Love to all. - the Forst Family.
