A MESSAGE FROM Kristen's Resilience Challenge Fundraising
The last couple of years have been difficult in various ways for all of us. Especially this past year, I've realized that I am more RESILIENT than I ever imagined, and decided to honor that by taking on Team In Training’s Resilience Challenge to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
So what does this mean? During the month of June, I will be moving for the LLS mission, with a goal to spend 25 hours in the gym boxing while fundraising and raising awareness for blood cancers. Yes, you read that right, I said boxing. So how does a woman who had never thrown a punch, who hadn't done a push up or sit up in decades start boxing? I found that I needed a way to build strength & focus on myself during the difficulties of this year. And it has been so empowering! Now I want to combine that in a way to support blood cancer patients. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is at the forefront of the fight against cancer and provides critical support to blood cancer patients across the country.
I invite you to be #TNTRESILIENT in the face of cancer by making a donation or by joining me in this challenge!
