A MESSAGE FROM Lauren's Allyson Whitney Foundation Fundraiser - NYC Marathon
I am excited to be running the NYC Marathon again this year on November 5th, 2023 and raising money for The Allyson Whitney Foundation! This nonprofit provides support to young adults with rare cancers and is a cause near and dear to my heart as a social worker who supports patients with serious illness and witnesses the needs of young adults with such a devastating diagnosis.
The Allyson Whitney foundation provides Life Interrupted grants to ease the financial burdens associated with having cancer during young adulthood. They also support cancer research initiatives and local oncology suites to provide comfort bags for patients.
I am pumped to run the 26.2 distance again in NYC and honored to be running for such a worthy cause. No donation is too small, as this organization is totally volunteer led and each dollar helps to reach my goal and support patients!
