On May 20, 2023, for our second year participating, our Team ‘To Olivia & Beyond’ will join the Eagles organization and
thousands of others from the community in participating in the 6th
annual Eagles Autism Challenge!
This
event is committed to funding innovative autism research and care programs with
the goal of advancing scientific breakthroughs. I have seen how these therapy
programs can have a direct impact on individuals (and their families) with
autism.
Every
dollar of participant-raised funds goes directly towards the Eagles Autism
Foundation, as together we take action for autism.
I hope
you will consider making a donation towards my fundraising goal to help make a
difference in the autism community, for Olivia, and for the 1 in 54 individuals
in the US that struggle daily with this disability.
Thank
you in advance for your support, it means the world to my family and I, more
than you will ever know. It took a while for me to get to a place in order to
emotionally accept this is something that is not going away or something she
will outgrow, but autism is a lifelong disability and Olivia will have
struggles every day. BUT we have the ability to advocate and ensure she
receives ALL the proper care programs, as often as needed so that she CAN and
WILL live the “normal” life she deserves. More so now than ever as her institution
where Olivia was receiving behavioral services recently shut down.
So here
I am, ready to walk again, ready to continue advocating, ready to go full-on
“mama bear mode” and beating our team fundraising efforts of over $11,765 last
year and stand PROUD next to my daughter, the happiest of them all,
Olivia.
