I'm a former Planned Parenthood volunteer who worked with the Activist Council's Fundraising Committee and a writer who has covered sexual and reproductive globally. For many low-income women of color in NYC, visiting Planned Parenthood is sometimes the only time they see a doctor all year. I couldn't be more proud to participate in one of the world's biggest races in support of an organization dedicated to providing access to health care as reproductive rights are increasingly under attack.

$35 will offset one month of oral contraception; $420 is the cost for a year
$50 pays for a patient’s Rapid HIV test
$120 covers the fee of a brief counseling session
$223 offsets the cost of STI testing
$350 pays for a wellness (“annual”) exam for most patients
$500 covers the cost of an IUD
$550 represents the cost of an initial PrEP visit
$600 provides one medication abortion
$725 covers the cost of a vasectomy
$915 offsets the cost of an initial visit for gender affirming care, plus a year’s worth of supportive care for one patient
