A MESSAGE FROM Leo's Chicago Journey
Hello everyone, ever since I got into running it has been a goal of mine to run a full marathon. Beyond proud to achieve that goal this upcoming October in Chicago.
While completing a personal goal of mine, I've thought about ways in how I can support friends, family, and other communities.
That's why I've decided to run for the Golden Apple Foundation, an organization dedicated to developing and supporting great teachers in schools that need them most. Their work focuses on preparing, mentoring, and retaining educators so more students can benefit from strong, committed teachers.
This cause hits close to home for me. My fiancée is a teacher, and I’ve seen firsthand the impact that passionate, supported educators can have—not just on students, but on entire communities. I’ve also seen the challenges teachers face, especially in under-resourced schools. That’s why I’m proud to support an organization that is actively working to strengthen the teaching profession.
