I’m sure most of my friends on have seen or heard me talk about my adorable nephew Joey (pictured a thousand times in my facebook stories 😍😁). What most people don’t know is Joey was diagnosed with ASD (Autism spectrum disorder) earlier this year. With those 3 letters comes lots of emotion for Joey and family surrounding him, time, interventions, routines, and services. Despite a diagnosis, this does not define the amazing kid I’m lucky to call my godson! However, ASD is incredibly broad, under-researched, and misunderstood despite the fact that it is the largest developmental disorder in the world!  On May 19, 2018 I will join the entire Philadelphia Eagles organization and thousands of Philadelphia area residents who will ride, run or walk to raise funds for innovative research and programs to help unlock the mystery of autism. 100% of participant-raised funds will go directly towards autism research and programs at a coalition of leading institutions including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Drexel University and Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health. I need your support to reach my goal and assist those currently affected as well as future generations. Thank you!
