A MESSAGE FROM Lisa and John's Fundraising Page
It is both an honor and a privilege to combine a newfound passion for running with supporting a life-changing charity that provides aid for our most vulnerable neighbors across the five boroughs.

The fact that so many of our homebound elderly New Yorkers suffer from food insecurity is a deeply personal issue for us as we think of our respective grandparents who depended on the kindness of their community back in China in order to get through the worst parts of the global pandemic. 

We are proud to run in loving memory of Lisa's maternal grandparents, both of whom passed away in 2021.

We are excited to support Team Citymeals on Wheels, which provides a continuous lifeline of nourishing meals and vital companionship to nearly 20,000 homebound elderly New Yorkers. Since their founding 40 years ago, they have delivered more than 65 million weekend, holiday and emergency meals. 100% of funds raised by Team Citymeals runners will go directly to the preparation and delivery of meals.
