Lucas’s FAQ
Q: What’s Team ChiParks?
A: Team ChiParks is the official Chicago Marathon team running
in support of the The Chicago Parks Foundation (CPF)! CPF is an independent,
nonprofit partner of the Chicago parks, who works alongside the Chicago Park
District to help park users and lovers become park givers and stewards. Check
out a few ways CPF helps keep our local parks clean and accessible:
-
Pitch In for the Parks: citywide
volunteer park cleanup program.
-
Green Teams: organizing park clean up
events for local corporations.
-
Park Fundraising: like this!

Q: How many parks does Chicago have?
A: If you can believe it, Chicago is home to over 600 parks!
Not to mention the 19-mile-long lakefront trail, where yours truly is doing
plenty of training.
Q: Another marathon, are you crazy?!
A: What can I say, a year on the sidelines makes you forget just
how much pain you were in at the finish line… Not to mention, I am fortunate
enough to have the opportunity to run/train with a great group of people who help
keep me motivated! Beyond raising money, I hope to use this next period of training
to explore new places, feel free to check in on my Strava periodically to see
if I’m still running the same route
Q: How much should I donate?
A: Trick question! Donations of any size are appreciated 😊.
Just click the “donate today” button to get started.
Q: Are there any other super-cool charities that collaborate
with the Chicago Marathon that I can give to?
A: You bet there are! Check out a few of my friends who are
also running for a cause this October.
Justin: St Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Andrew: Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago
