Join Me in the Fight Against Breast Cancer for My Mom
Last December, my world was shaken when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She’s always been my rock—the one who gives her time and heart so generously to everyone around her. From opening our home for community events like my art classes and tattooing ceremonies to saving lives as a top clinical lab scientist, my mom has always been a beacon of strength and love. Behind closed doors, I struggled with tears of anger and heartbreak, but I’ve learned to draw strength from her resilience. This diagnosis was a blow on every level, but I am determined to channel this pain into purpose.
Cancer has already taken too many loved ones from us. It’s a stark reminder of how precious our time together is. We must hold each other closer, offer more compassion, and cherish every moment we have.
In the spirit of that love and in honor of my mom's healing journey, I’m participating in a charity half marathon with the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
