Hello! My name is Maddy Martinez. This spring I graduated from Ithaca College and completed my final season of track and field as a collegiate 400m hurdler and sprinter.
I was born into a family of passionate runners. Both of my siblings run Division I cross country and track and field. My mom is a lifelong runner and marathoner, and my dad was a collegiate cross country and track and field athlete that now competes in marathons and ultramarathons across the world.
After concluding my final season of hurdling and sprinting, I am eager to move to new distances and continue to challenge myself as an athlete.
Fueled by the unwavering support of my family and the empowering environment of SGU, I am so excited to ignite a spark of inspiration within the upcoming generation of female athletes as I participate in the prestigious NYC marathon.
