Aloha! My name is Delo Dayondon and I'm a runner from Pearl City, Hawaii. As some of you may know, I’m on the quest to become a six-star Abbott World Marathon Majors finisher by completing my last 3 marathons (Tokyo, London, and Berlin) all in 2026. This has been a decade-long journey that started after I completed the Boston Marathon in 2016, followed by Chicago in 2017, and New York in 2019. I was supposed to run Berlin in 2020 when the pandemic hit and the race, along with my motivation to run, was cancelled.
It’s been a real struggle to chase after my dream again, but when my mother suddenly and unexpectedly passed away early this year, it was a wake up call that life is short and I need to make good on the promise I made to her to finish what I started in her memory.
In my 20+ years of running, I always run best when it’s for a bigger purpose other than my own personal achievement. To carry on my mom’s legacy of altruism, I’m honored to announce that I’ve partnered with an incredible organization called Open Heart Magic (OHM) to run the 2026 Berlin Marathon with a goal of raising $4,000 to benefit OHM’s unique programming to help sick kids get their magic back.
As a member of the OHM Charity Team, our hard work will support certified Hospital Magician volunteers and OHM to reach kids at their hospital bedsides right when they need it the most. Your generosity will impact thousands of children and their families – together we can use magic as medicine and help sick kids get better.

Mahalo for your kindness,
