I am originally from the beautiful island nation
of St. Kitts, but was raised in Miami and now proudly call South Jersey home. My Black Girls Run! journey began in June 2015 when I joined the South
Jersey chapter and attended my very first chapter event. What started as a
single run quickly became a powerful sisterhood that transformed my perspective on fitness, running, and myself. Since joining BGR!, I've completed countless races ranging from 5Ks and 10-milers to the Philadelphia
Marathon, two Ragnar Relays, and every distance in between, growing with each
mile not only as a runner, but as a person.
In 2017, I was honored to become an Ambassador for the
South Jersey chapter, stepping into the role to give back to an organization
that transformed my body, strengthened my confidence, and reshaped my approach to running both mentally and physically. I am proud to represent
Black Girls Run! as I raises funds for the Black Girls Run! Foundation while
training for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. This journey is
about more than miles—it’s about creating space, encouraging others, and helping
ensure Black women runners continue to be seen and supported on courses
everywhere.
