Hello!
Welcome to my Run for Teens fundraising page!
I am running the 2022 TSC New York City Marathon on November 6th! As a social worker with Mount Sinai, I wanted to run for a charity that is closely connected to my work. This lead me to the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center Run for Teens Team. Every $1,000 raise supports a fully year of comprehensive health services for a young person in need.
A highlight of The Center is the comprehensive mental health care for adolescents. Their team of social workers, psychologist, and psychiatrists serve youth ages 10-26 with a range of mental health needs, regardless of their ability to pay. I have referred a number of students I work with through the Mount Sinai School Based Clinics to The Center for ongoing mental health care.
Now more than ever, young people in NYC need access to critical health care and support necessary to heal from the loss, stress, and trauma of the COVID-19 pandemic. As the largest adolescent-specific health center in New York City providing services at no cost to patients, the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center is uniquely positioned to support NYC youth through this crisis.
