Hello friends, family, and colleagues!
As a third generation Chinese American, I'm honored to be fundraising and running this year’s New York City Marathon on behalf of The Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) and invite you to join me in this exciting journey.
Why MOCA?
I strongly believe in MOCA's mission to not only document and celebrate the Chinese American community’s proud history in this country but also their commitment to support the current needs of the Chinese American community in NYC. In 2021 alone, anti-Asian hate crimes rose 339%. It's more important than ever to take action and show up for our community through times of adversity. MOCA and these causes have inspired me to run my first marathon. Although I have challenged myself through other athletic endeavors in the past, the New York City Marathon is a once in a lifetime challenge and I’m ready!
I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to fundraise for MOCA during such a critical time. Join me in my efforts and together I know we can make a difference. My goal is to raise $5,000 by the end of the summer.
I’ll be sending more updates on my progress in the coming weeks and thank you in advance for your support!
