It is with great enthusiasm that on Sunday November 7th I will be participating in 50th running of the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon, as a member of the Ferring Pharmaceuticals Charity Race Team. For the event, my goal is to raise $5,000 and my company (Ferring) will be matching every donation 100%. All proceeds will go to Community Hope of NJ, a charity foundation committed to helping veterans and their families in need of support. About the Charity:
Your donation will benefit those in our communities disabled by mental illness including those in our Hope for Veterans® Programs which will rescue more than 1,000 homeless and wounded veterans and their families struggling with homelessness this year. Community Hope has been addressing the urgent needs of the most vulnerable members of our communities struggling with mental illness for over 30 years. Fifteen years ago we focused our expertise on reaching veterans who became homeless due to post traumatic stress and other debilitating conditions. Today, Community Hope is the lead charity rescuing veterans from homelessness and despair in New Jersey. Few other programs in our communities address the needs of families impacted by mental illness and no other charity in NJ is saving as many veterans and their families from homelessness. Our award-winning and nationally acclaimed programs have been innovative and transformational – saving the lives of veterans and their families every day.
