A MESSAGE FROM Maxine
Running has always been more than miles for me — it’s been a lifeline, a teacher, and a reminder of what’s possible when you keep showing up.
As a full-time educator, I pour into others every single day. Running is how I pour back into myself. It’s where I’ve learned discipline, resilience, and the power of consistency — lessons I carry into my classroom, my community, and every area of my life.
In 2026, I’m honored to be running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, not just as a personal goal, but as a purpose-driven journey. Every mile represents commitment, growth, and the belief that transformation happens one step at a time — whether you’re training for 26.2 or navigating everyday life.
Your support helps fuel this journey and allows me to continue inspiring others — especially women and students — to move their bodies, prioritize their health, and chase big goals without waiting for “the perfect time.”
Thank you for believing in me, supporting this dream, and being part of every step along the way. Together, we prove that when you commit, show up, and stay the course — anything is possible.
