A MESSAGE FROM Fundraising in Honor of "Super Cooper!"
I am taking on Team In Training’s Resilience Challenge to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
I will conquer 50 miles throughout the month of September, Blood Cancer Awareness Month, while fundraising and raising awareness for blood cancers.
In May of this year, my three-year-old daughter, Cooper, was
diagnosed with leukemia. Cooper’s treatment plan over the next two years
has been directly impacted by LLS’ funding of cancer research. Should her
diagnosis have come nine months earlier, her treatment plan would be different,
and less targeted, then what she is receiving today. By supporting
organizations such as LLS, their funding of grants for cancer research, as well
as financial aid programs for patients, put simply, helps save lives.
