A MESSAGE FROM Meg's 2024 Chicago Marathon Fundraiser for Girls on the Run Chicago
Please support my fundraising efforts for the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon benefitting Girls on the Run Chicago! No donation is too small.
CAN YOU HELP ME REACH MY GOAL?
I’m running the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 13, 2024. While I train, I wanted to find a way to give back so I'm raising money for Girls on the Run, an organization that is near and dear to my heart. I've set my fundraising goal to be $1,250 — can you help me reach my goal?
WHY GIRLS ON THE RUN:
Girls on the Run is a non-profit 501(c)3 life-changing program for girls in 3rd-8th grade that creatively integrates running and goal-setting to help them develop confidence and recognize their potential.
Running has done so much for my mental and emotional health— it’s given me confidence, the ability to handle adversity and discomfort, and a sense of belonging. I want all young women to feel this same way.
I am so proud to be a Girls on the Run-Chicago SoleMate and to have a direct impact on ensuring that GOTR can continue to provide girls with a safe and inclusive space to connect, learn, and build the skills they need to navigate the world around them, at a time when they need it most.
- 97% of GOTR participants said they learned life skills including resolving conflict, helping others, and making intentional decisions
- 97% of girls said they feel they can be themselves at Girls on the Run events
- 40% of girls increased their physical activity as a result of the program
