A MESSAGE FROM Megan’s Chicago Marathon for CASA
Thank you for donating and supporting me on my marathon journey, and more importantly helping support the hundreds of thousands of children in foster care on any given day!
CASA is an incredible organization that works to give a voice to children in out of home care. During my 10 year career in social services I’ve witnessed the positive impact that caring CASA volunteers can have on the trajectory of a case.
Every dollar you donate gets me closer to my goal of raising $2,500; the cost of providing CASA services to a single child for one year.
In the last 10 years, I’ve worked with children who have survived horrible trauma and excruciating loss, watched families celebrate reunification after long periods of separation and been witness to the birth of new families through adoption. I’m running the Chicago marathon for CASA as a tribute to every youth, parent and family who has modeled strength and perseverance for me over the last 10 years.
