A MESSAGE FROM Melody Runs for the Parks!
I've cheered on Chicago Marathon runners for many years, but in 2024, I will be one of those runners! This is my first marathon so I'm both excited and nervous about the training ahead of me. I'll need all the support I can get, so I'm looking to you to help me through my journey! One of the ways to help is by supporting my fundraising efforts for the Chicago Parks Foundation as part of my entry into the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Most people know me for my passion for the US National Parks (visited 31 out of 63!), but at the core of it, it's a celebration of preserving and conserving the natural wonders of the world for generations to come. An easy way to bring that passion closer to home is by supporting the Chicago Parks Foundation, which raises funds to help maintain, restore, and enhance the green spaces in the city. If you've ever been to Chicago, you might've stumbled upon one of these parks--Lincoln Park (where the zoo is), Grant Park (for those music festivals and where the Marathon starts + finishes), Maggie Daley Park (where the ice skating ribbon is), Bloomingdale Trail Park (aka the 606), Garfield Park (for the Conservatory), Jackson Park (behind the Museum of Science + Industry), Ping Tom Memorial Park (in Chinatown), and more!
No donation is too small. Please consider clicking on the donate button!
