A MESSAGE FROM Miles for Moms

I am excited, and nervous, to say that I have joined Every Mother Counts for the 2024 Chicago Marathon. I cannot wait to be part of Team EMC and their fight for all mothers.  After a high risk pregnancy, and a traumatic labor and delivery, I know that my daughter and I are alive, safe, and healthy thanks to the team of doctors we had. Not every mother has the privilege of trusting in her pre-natal care, and I am honored to be a part of Team EMC because "pregnancy and childbirth shuld be safe, respectful, and equitable for everyone, everywhere" (everymothercounts.org)
