A MESSAGE FROM Milica's CASA Fundraiser 2026
You are here to give some $$$ for CASA of Cook County that Milica is raising by running the Paris marathon 2026 and one half-marathon per month from March 2026 to December 2026!!!
💛 Endometriosis journey
I started running for the first time ever after an excision surgery for endometriosis in November 2024. That year was the year that almost broke me. I lost a few organs, and my bowels and intestines were entangled and then detangled.
After that surgery, I decided that I have limited control over endometriosis, as there is no cure, but I definitely have control over what I do with my body. So, I decided to run the Chicago marathon in October 2025 by raising money for CASA Cook County as my charity.
The Chicago marathon was the first race I have ever run. I have never run even a 5k before. I trained A LOT, and finished the marathon in about 5 hrs and 20 minutes, and had SO MUCH FUN doing it.
I raised $2,873, passing my $2,500 goal.
👟 Now I am a runner, I guess
So, now I am hooked on running. It is probably a little bit annoying to my friends and family, as that is all I talk about.
So, in 2026, I decided to continue to run for CASA Cook County by running:
⭐ Paris Marathon in April 2026
⭐ Run at least one half-marathon every month starting in March 2026
💙 WHY CASA Cook County?
As I was deciding what charity to raise $$ for, I saw CASA of Cook County. I remember my sorority sister, Taylor, who has worked for CASA for the last 15 years. The stories that she would tell were emotional, incredibly human, and painfully real.
So, that seemed like the fitting cause.

I can only hope that participating in this humbling experience, and doing it to attempt to help at least one other human being, will remind me to be and stay grateful.
