A MESSAGE FROM Missy's Fundraising Page: TCS New York City Marathon 2021
"Why am I running a marathon?"
Running a marathon is something I never truly thought was in the cards for me. Growing up playing basketball, I've always considered myself more of a sprinter rather than a long distance runner. But, after witnessing the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon, I left feeling inspired to take on the challenge. The energy that the runners, supporters, and workers brought to this event was simply breathtaking. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to take part in the 50th running of this World Marathon Major!
This year, I am running with Party with Purpose (PWP), a 100% volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded on the concept of producing great events to raise money for children’s charities and bring the community together in the process. Being a Hoboken resident for over three years now, I am passionate about supporting the community and giving back. Party with Purpose granted $32,000 to 27 charity partners for 2020 and I'm honored to be running and raising money with PWP.
